I would start by getting a stancor model 586-902 from mouser.com. I put one of those on my truck, and the rest of the 7.3s people have at my shop. No trouble with them, been a few years, and couple of 10,000's of miles on them. I would start there. Then report back!
EDIT: I had over 200k on mine when I replace them (same time as injectors) And the only reason I did, was because I was under the valvecovers anyways.
I tried glow plugs and the Stancor GPR for my romps, fresh oil made the biggest difference. Or is your problem something other than that? Are you using synthetic oil?

Just some thoughts from a rookie
That is a soon to come fix. I dont quite think its cold enough yet for the oil to be a concern. But soon enough unfortunately, it will be cold enough!
Cold enough? It was 38* this morning! LOL I guess it depends on where you live jk
Im in pennsylvania, and lately we have been seeing hi 30s, low 40s over night. While cold to us, the trucks will still start pretty good on conventional 15w-40 oil. IMO, its not till 20, and below But thats my oppinion.
