quick question please help

i drained my tranny fluid. how many quarts do i have to put back into my 01 f250 v10

Heres a link to changing the ATF in a 4R100. How much fluid you add back in depends on if you drained all the fluid in the system or just drained the fluid in the pan only. Your owners manual will give you some capacities also.

well i only drained the pan and about 5 or 6 quarts of tranny fluid came out. so that means that i only have to put back in 5 or 6 quarts of fluid? right? i did this on accident. im no mechanic.

correct, only need to replace the amount you drained. After you add 5 quarts...start the truck and check the tranny fluid level on the dip stick and add the last little bit (checking after each add) until you have the correct level.
