Oil leak?
I've developed a pretty severe oil leak, especially when running. For the last 2 years, the '97 has left it's mark everywhere it's been parked, but wasn't enough to get overly concerned about. Recently, it's gotten a little bit worse, but the other day I left it running outside the house awhile, maybe 20 minutes. When I came out there was a spot about 2 1/2 feet across of fresh oil on the ground. I haven't had a chance to do a lot of searching, but am looking for some ideas. I have noticed that it has been wet in the galley, between the "valve covers" and also pretty much the whole oilpan has been wet, with drips always hanging off the drain plug. Hoping you' all may have some ideas. Thanks.

1. Are you sure it's oil and not diesel?
2. Most likely if it is oil it's coming from turbo pedestal o-rings.
3. If it's diesel it's probably from the weep hole in the pump or possibly a leak with the FPR or fuel canister.
Clean up the valley the best you can and get a little mirror in there so you can see whats going on.
