buy another stroke?

hey guys im looking at another powerstroke that i may want to buy for parts for my truck. the guy told me that the uvc harnesses were fried thats why hes sellin it. he drove it to the mechanics then decided to sell it lol. i know im gonna need to rebuild my injectors soon. could i rebuild the injectors in that truck them swap them with mine. the truck looks fairly stock all the way to the downpipe and intake. it has 285k on it and from what i can tell its in pretty good shape but im not sure if thats too many miles too rebuild the injectors. the truck is a psd with an e4od and its a 4d long bed 2wd. also im plannin to do a turbo rebuild and was wonderin if i could do the same with that as injectors, ie rebuild parts truck's then swap to mine. im pretty sure the trucks aa code and i know mine is, stickers gone off the one im lookin at tho. he wants 800 is that a fairly cheap price? too all the people who know way more than me and will respond, thank you in advance

is that for the whole truck, or just the engine? Either way it seems like its not too bad of a deal... see if he will go 700

thats the whole truck. the only problem is i dont know about rebuildability of the injectors. if im not mistaken 95's only came with 100 cc injectors. but can they be rebuilt with 285k on em. if i get lucky dzl jim will chime in he seems to know a little about injectors lol

Yes, '95's only had AA injectors.

Some parts might need to be replaced to rebuild the injectors but you should be ok to use them.

You could put in new UVC harnesses for less than $300 and maybe 2 hours of time and have the truck running again...

It might be a bit of a struggle getting it running. But for $800 bucks? Is it in California?

Hard to say. Rebuildable 7.3s go for a grand or more. Always in demand. For a couple of hundred bucks throw some cheap harnesses on it. New batteries, oil and filter, fresh fuel and filter. See what happens. Get it to run sell it for for three grand and you have yourself some new injectors!
