4.2 help

Ok folks some &^%# head sugered my tank, 97 f150 4.2 automatic. My question is will the 97 auto matchup to a 302? I think it would be easier and cheaper to just swap out a carbed 302 instead of replacing the intire fuel system and reworking the heads. Any suggestions?

So the sugar made it through the fuel pump strainer and through the fuel filter into the engine?

What is the motor doing? Did it just quit? You sure it's not a fuel pump?
