I'm watching the UCLA vs. Oregon football game and UCLA is really sucking. They keep getting great oportunities and do nothing with it and it seems as Oregon is pulling off all the miracles.

Pretty inconsiderate to schedule a wedding during a Dodger playoff game. I would file a complaint with Bride Magazine, and bogart the shrimp platter at the reception.

I'll be listening.....hopefully I'll have an outburst during a quiet moment in the ceremony.

I can hear it now:

"Do you, Rene, take..YEAH!!!!!!!! YEAH!!!!!!!! WoooooHooooo! or AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH SHIAT!!!!!!!....be your lawfully wedded husband" etc etc.

This might be fun after all

Can't bogart the shrimp platter - it's a sit down dinner.

Took the better part of two hours, but mine are too, now.

Guess I was just looking to do something actually productive this afternoon while SWMBO is in Orange County.

At least that's my story when she gets home....

Some games are good if they lose and some are horrible if they win. I guess I'm a different kind of fan, I do want to see them win but now by 11. I want to see the game go back and forth 12-13 innins if it has to. It wasn't to long ago they had a 13 innin game.

Oh - a 'purist', eh? Yeah, I can appreciate a closely contested game, but right now all I care about are wins. Wins, wins, wins. Any way they come. Been a long time since the Dodgers were in The Series, and I think it's about time they get there again.

Since they were in Brooklyn?

That's OK.......Sox fans often call them the 'Red Flops' for a reason.......I guess we'll find out tonight.

I thought it was over by about the 5th inning. The Cards just never got anything going and their fans were sitting on their hands.

SL was highly favored to win the series because of their "superior pitching". Those pitchers didn't show up.

Oh, and good morning.

Howdy, Bill.

I really don't get the 'superior' pitching angle that was being pushed for St Louis. Their pitchers may have more name recognition, but the Dodgers have the lowest staff ERA in the league. ERA might not be the best metric for pitching performance since team defense has a lot to do with it as well, but for me it's pretty tough to go along with any pitching staff being better.
