Brake leak inside cab?

I have an 05 F250, 6.0L. It appears there is a drip of brake fluid or something where the rod goes into a tube through the firewall. I have checked out a few trucks like mine and peeked under them and found the same leak through about 3 separate trucks. I dont think this is normal, but it certainly appears to be par for the course. Anyone know what the cause is or what it might cost to repair it at the dealer?

Why would you ever take your truck to the dealership for repair? Do you also light piles of money on fire for fun?

The master cylinder is probably leaking. They will, at a minimum, replace the master cylinder and booster.

Rebuild or replace the master cylinder.

It needs to go in for oil leaks, radio flicker fix, and since Im there, I might as well have them check it out.

Generally speaking, i feel that since its a ford diesel, if its not leaking, then its out of fluid. However, most leaks are all outside, and i dont particularly care about them. This one, however, is IN the cab, and that kind of sucks.

Why would BOTH MC and Booster need to be replaced? Isnt it just the booster thats leaking?

This truck has 45,000 miles, if that matters.
