another air ride problem98

another air ride problem98

ok i have a 98 ex.and surprize the air ride broke. i have the dumby like on the dash. and i just replaced the the soild state relay. well it kicked the compresser on for a few seconds. then i shuft off and my dumby light came back so i can only guess that is the wire at the plug. can somone tell m what wires are . i now i should have 2 power ins one power out and a ground i think but what is what.if anyone can help thank you greatly.

The system is pretty simple. You have a control module that energizes the relay when the height sensor says your truck is too low. The relay turns on the compressor which fills the airbags. The is a valve on the airbags which I think acts as a one way check valve. That's about it. You can just 12Vdc directly to the compressor to see if it turns on. You'll need a schematic to know the inputs and outputs of the relay. Since it's solid state it won't make a clicking sound like an electro-mechanical one does. You'll have to put 12Vdc on the input and use a DVOM to look for continuity on the output side.

thanks if im right i think the order on the plug on relay goes abcd A being power out (to compresser) b power in(for comperesser) C power in (charge relay) and D ground
