Question Electrical Problem / Gauges

I have a 1984 F-250 4x4 Diesel. A while back, my Temp, Oil Pressure & fuel gauge just stopped working. Have not been able to find any help or info on it anywhere. Can someone please tell me where to start? The only gauge that still works is the alternator one.
Thanks,
Todd

There is a silver box mounted on the gauge cluster that is called the IVR(instrument voltage regulator). It's common to all the gauges you mentioned. It should have 12v going in, and a pulsing voltage coming out that averages around 5v. You have to take the cluster out to see it. Also check the connections for that and the gauges on the circuit board and the big wiring plug. Sometimes all that is needed is a good cleaning with a pencil eraser.

Jiggle the ignition key (pull it back towards yourself). they don't always spring into RUN
from the START position as they get older. Make sure this isn't causing your problem.
