My 2000 Expedition is leaking around the A/C vents located in the ceiling of the interior. It is not actually coming thru vents but the water pools around the vents and begins to drip on passengers in second row of seats. I took it to dealer and they said it was the sunroof drains clogged(they unclogged the drains). But after another heavy rain it is worse than when I took it in for the dealer to fix. Have any members come across this problem too? What was your solution? TIA Boomer
I have a 97 Expedition. It is leaking also in the rear seat and around the sunroof. The Ford dealer told me that it was a hose in the roof. The hose might be broken. They said they may have to take the roof off to check to see what it is. Did they say the same thing to you? I am overseas and just wanted to know about what it cost you to have the drains (hose) fixed and if you took it back since the last rain, what was told to you then? Please reply
I picked my EB up and they found acorns from my tree wedge into slot. The sunroof drains are now working properly and it has been put to the test.In Virginia we have had 3 solid days of rain and no problem . The labor was regular rate(55.00) and only took an hour but I still have a warranty so it was no charge. Good Luck Boomer2000 EB Expedition
We finally got the nerve to take ours in and guess what! The drain hoses had cOME APART> WE were told that they do that sometimes. The dealer just reconnected the hoses and charged us $140. Not too bad considering we are not in country...we too have been having nothing but rain and guess what! It doesn't leak anymore either. Thanks for posting your problem, it sure did help us solve ours. Mike36
