My son's mail box looks good. Crankshaft was powdered coated the same as the wheels on my 48 Ford F1.

That does look pretty cool.I have had custom mailboxes in the past but due to punk kids with baseball bats they don't last long.I normally have to replace my mailbox at least once a year.

That's why you bury a 12 foot steel pole into the ground, and make a mailbox out of 1/2 inch plate. Never again will the punks try and baseball bat it after that. Works real good if you fill the pole with concrete too.

Yea I would like to do that but my mailbox is across the street on state property.

That's definitely baseball bat-proof! I'd like to do that to my mailbox but it sits on a post in my neighbor's yard (and he isn't cool enough to have a crankshaft post!).

What a great example of Americana.....

I sure eventually, you will receive a nasty-gram from the Federal Government demanding that your Mail-Box comply with ANSI/ISO/SAE/UL/CE MARK/TUV/IEC Standards.........

Wow, that's really cool!

Hey Eman, do you mean to tell me that if your mailbox doesn't comply with blah blah blah, they won't deliver the mail? Wow, wouldn't THAT be great...Bills Bills Bills!

In my town we still use the Pony Express. They get pretty grouchy if I order a Short Block or a Tranny......
