You'll need 850cca. Plenty of preferences here, just do some searches. I like the Costco batteries. 3 year replacement warranty. There are maybe only 3-4 manufacturers of automotive batteries, so most of them are the same thing re-badged.

Around 900 to 1000 cca and dont be afraid to spend some money for them. Tried to save some money when I replaced mine 2 times ago and it was a mistake. Napa has real good batteries if you have them in your area.

Optima's are now made in Mexico. I have done more returns on those lately its almost sad. Ive had an AutoCraft batt. in my Ranger for 4 years now. I even killed it a few times. Every battery is pretty much the same. The more expensive you get the more lead inside, and a better warrenty. So no matter where you go....Spend the extra 15 - 20 bux and get the better one.

On another note. Optima's do withstand the vibraitions alot better than what a normal liquid filled one will. Not only that you can bring them back from the dead a few times before you gotta worry about the condition of them on the inside. If I were to buy an Optima, I would purchase the Yellow Tops. They will withstand more abuse then a Red Top will, and they will work better if you have alot of aftermarket lights, radio's, ect..... But thats what I think of batteries.

Dan

I just replaced my batteries with 2 Napa batteries, 850 CCA, 1000 CA, 150 minutes @ 25A each and all I have to say is wow! It's like I lit a fire under this thing's belly when I go to start it, it's a cranking freak! Now to see how long they last considering they have a 18 month replacement warranty, 84 month total warranty, the rest is pro-rated but I managed to talk them down because Shuck's has a 3 year replacement warranty. Got them for 85 each. The guys at Napa also claim that the batteries are international batteries. Time will tell and so will winter :-)
