Warn Locking Hubs install kit?

I bought a set of the standard locking hubs, but I can't get the passenger side on. I bought the kit and all it is, are the spindle nuts, which look like what are there... how does that help. The problem is the axle shaft won't come out far enough to install the snap ring. So it will make noise when a hit a bump. So does anyone know if it really works? cause it was a lot of work and I don't want to do anything until I know it does something. And I got the axle without the locking hubs; but I think they were auto-locking. Thanks.

Just put a pry bar behind the u joint in the knuckle and gently pry the shaft untill the groove is exposed . That's what I did on mine.

I've done that. I even had a friend trying to pull while I was going to clip it. Its flush no matter what you do. So idk what I need to do, maybe get a new axle shaft from jy.

I know this is a few days old -were you able to fix this? If not - perhaps the spindle nuts are the problem. If the center alignment lock ring (between the two lock nuts) isn't seated directly over the nub on the first lock nut - the last spindle nut doesn't seat correctly. This would cause the 4x4 hub assembly to "stick out" 1/16-1/8 in. possibly causing the miss alignment.
These things can be a pain to line up when its all greasy....

I guess that could be happening. I'll try the nut kit once I have my other truck back on the road. New trucks are junk....
