Deciphering the tag on a 9"
I pulled the tag off of the rearend of my -100. Can someone (Oh,Bill, are you there?) tell me what the tag numbers mean??
Here is what the tag reads:
WBM-K
3 70 7BA 304

There's a lotta scheiss listed in the 1964/72 truck parts catalog, but there's no rear axle code of WBM-K.WDM-K = Ford 9" / 3.70-1 / non Limited Slip / 3300 lb. Rear Axle Capacity.
7BA = Assembled the first week (A) of February (B), 1967 (7).

Heehee...Sorry Bill, My fat finger did a B instead of D!! Well, this is good, I wanted a ratio somewhere close to 3.73, so now I don't have to change out the ring and pinion! Thanks Bill, your info is much appreciated!
