GEM issues??
Got a 97 XLT, when I get out and double-press the lock button to activate the alarm and go back to open it and use the key in the drivers door (like I have for the past umpteen years) the horn goes off in alarm mode?? I have the keyring openers but battery have been dead for at least a year, yall think this is a certified-GEM-Issue? No other freaky stuff happening right now.

I don't think the REM would be the factor, since I don't use them. I can stick a battery in one and try it. That would not solve the issue of manually unlocking the door (with the key) and having the alarm to sound. Stranger things have happened.......
