does anybody know if Edge makes an Evolution Programmer on the 5.4 SuperDuty? a friend of mine has one on his 00 F150 and has had no problems with it, Just throwing around the idea of getting a programmer to get a little more outtta my truck. Thanks in Advance...
Was it worth the money? How much power did you gain? Was it very noticeable on the 5.4? My only experience with Edge is on the Cummins motors (Edge Juiced w/ Attitude).
just looked on Edge's website and they dont list specifically for 5.4 Superduty, and dont say anything about the F150 one workin on the F250's. Hypertech makes a programmer for 5.4 SuperDuty's and on there dyno sheet it said the F150 n F250 are the same...

I've heard of the Edge working for some guys but I have no personal experience with them. I have a Troyer tuned XCal2 and mainly use the 87 Performance tune. I love it.
I spoke to Edge a few months ago and their position was "it might work but no guarantees" - in other words, no.
They have a newly announced touchscreen line that, if memory serves, claimed upcoming support for my '01 F250/5.4 in the announcement email. As of today, however, they don't support any Ford products on the CTS or CS product.
The Touch Sceen Extreme product from SCT sure does look hot. I can't find any details as to support or release date, though.
I have one on my truck it will defiantly work. I got it to adjust for my bigger tires since you can adjust it to recalibrate the speedo. Honestly there is very little increase in power, but it does readjust your shift points which a really like when i am pulling a trailer.
beleive it or not my speedo isnt actually off by much even with the jump from 265's to 35's. its only off by 2 or 3 mph.
no i believe it my speedo was actually off more with stock tires then with the 35s but i have a set of stock tires for when i have to haul the horses real far so it is nice to have my speedo dead on with each set.
the other thing i forgot to mention is that it allows you to set max speeds and adjust the revlimiter so on the very rare occasion that i have to lend my truck to a whining family member i set the revlimiter low and the top speed to 65 then they complain that my truck was too slow and don't ask to use it again....
the other thing i have wondered about doing to protect it from being stolen is setting the idle rpm to 0 so it wont start. That would probably deter most theifs
Superchips makes a programmer for the 5.4 Super Duty I might do some research on. $340 bucks Turns out theres a lot of 5.4 SuperDuty owners that bought it and reviewed it on teh autoanything site...
