Hi everyone, I finally got a chance to get the codes out of my 1991 F250 with a 5.0. Some of you may remember that I had a thread about it idling at 2500 rpms. Unplug the IAC and it idles down. Well I got a code 23 Throttle Position (TP) sensor out of Self-Test range and a code 31 EVP circuit below minimum voltage. I left the IAC plugged in and unplugged the TPS and it idled and ran good. I took it down the road and it was fine. I havent had a chance to actually check the readings to see if there just bad or if they are being told wrong info yet. What are your feelings on it? Have you seen this before?
Not to but in, but Raven finally threw a CEL, and when I had it pulled at Advanced AP, it was P1506. She wiped the CEL, I sprayed the TB and run fuel treatment, and so far, so good. A real long steady cruise, 160 miles, plus a 25 mile run at 5 mph, (traffic), runs good...
Thanks Conanski! I put the TPS on last night, runs perfect! I really appreciate it. When I was driving it I noticed the RF brake was hanging so thats my next project.
Glad you got it fixed. A good place to start with the brake might be to replace the rubber flexi pipe on that side.
I'm pretty sure its just a stuck caliper. The truck sat for 2 years. Hit the brakes and it wont release. I'm sure I'll end up putting a caliper on it. I might just put both on them.
