Does anybody know of a good way to troubleshoot the timing on a 2001 E150 4.2L (6cyl). Timing specs. call for TDC, and is non-adjustable.
Timing marks are not visable enough to use timing gun.
Any ideas greatly appreciated.
I believe the belt may have jumped a tooth.
Engine pings and knocks under ecceleration, just before shifting. Have used all sorts of carbon build up removers, checked EFG, EFG Vacuum Soleniod, Coil Pack, Plugs, Wires. I have also checked the Octane Adjustment Bar and MAF Sensor.
