2 Intercoolers

Okay, I called the local shops.
The one place wanted 300 for 7.3 intercoolers or any of their stuff. I told him to shove it.

The reliable place has a 7.3 and a 6.0 intercooler.
The 6.0 is gonna be 165.

I magine the 7.3 will be close in price.

Now, these guys are asking me if its a converter or plastic this, blah blah blah.

WTF, they are all intercoolers arn't they? Friggen nuts!
Whats the diffs?

But anyways, I can pick those up and get them out to you for that in and shipping.
No tubes with them, but they are cool guys, might be able to talk them into it.

from what I understand the 6.0 has plastic ends and the 7.3 are all metal. IIRC The 6.0 cools a bit better but may not handle quite as high boost levels as the 7.3's. But any IC you go with will be better than what we have obviously.

Don't really know why they were asking you that. They are both intercoolers. i got my 7.3 Ic off Ebay for 140 after shipping. So the prices sounds about right from the reliable place. Let me know if they have an spyder for you and ME! I'm still looking for one.

Some of the late 7.3's had plastic tanks too, just FYI.

Plastic end caps on the intercooler, or would be tanks if it were a rad.

If you didn't want to know the answer you shouldn't have asked.

I've read in several posts that the aluminum tanks are the most desired because they can handle more pounds compared to the plastic ends...

But... The 6.slow coolers are a little more efficient...

I'm on dial up. Slow dial up. Reaching this sight and posting pictures for you guys is a chore.

So, research is generally out of the question 90% of the time.
I had to wait 5 mins for this sight to load today.

I'm just trying to help others out.
That's all. =)

Calling it a plastic tank is dumb, if the ends are just plastic.

Thanks for the links RÖENTGEEP.

And sorry for snappin at you guys. I get irritated more when I try and help people and things dont go right. Pluss was having bad day.

Spyder? You mean x-pipe?

The SD's have a different intake size, how do you get that to work?

You are welcome. And yes spyder is used equal to X pipe, same meaning talking about PSD. Some other uses "Y" pipe.
