Fuel Pump or something else?
I am posting this for a friend. He has a 99 F-350, V-10, Auto trans, 4x4, 180,000 miles.
The Problem: Driving down the road when accelerating it cuts out like it is running out of fuel. It idles just fine. The fuel pressure is between 35 and 40 PSI at idle. he didn't check pressure while driving. Does this sound like the fuel pump going out or something else? He checked the codes and he got codes for left and right banks running lean. He says he has had these codes for a while but the truck has run fine until now. Any help is appreciated.
