Automatic Windows
I have a 1999 F250 Superduty. Three of the four automatic windows will not roll down. I recently replaced the (4) switch cluster that is in the dirvers-side door panel thinking that the problem would be solved. No luck.
When I press the drivers-side window switch, I can hear a clicking under the dash, like maybe a relay. Should I be thinking about replacing the window motors?
Any help would be awesome.
If you pop the door panel off you can use a voltmeter to look for voltage at the connector for the window motors. If there's voltage present and they still don't move, I'd say its the motor. If there's no voltage present, start working your way back to find the wiring problem.
I'm not sure about a relay that would be involved. Maybe someone else will chime in on that one.
Good luck!
