um wtf?? looked like that tanker wasn't doing so well... may i ask why they were missing both wheels on the dualys? and why didn't they use their spare? i'd be FREAKED out if i saw that.
also, would it not be easyer to remove a wheel from the dualy and put that wheel on the flat one?
Tracktor and trailer may have different wheels. For example our company use 3 axe semi trailers, but no tweens on trailer (6 wheels, not 8), and bigger trailer wheels do not fit tracktor.
and i thought the semi's were bad here.
the rigs coming out of Mexico are just death traps waiting to kill.
seen 1 set of duals wheels and tires come out from under a rig on I5 about 4 months ago, lucky it was on the outside lane toward the shoulder, that mess flew.
have seen several semi's throw tire caps in the past year, all those rigs running from south of the border, can spot them a mile away, dirty and unwashed. must cap their tires with used Trojans?
almost took one threw the windshield of the Aero but luckly I've got the suspension really tweaked up tight and top notch brakes.
i see one of those suckers now and I get in the far left lane, pass at 80 mph+ until I'm well clear of them.
the independents and trucking companies here take pride in their rigs, see very few US semi death wagons
from beggining of recession I see that many drivers try to save money driving trucks with worn tires and overloading them. new tubeless tires are not so dangerouse like old with tube and tires are held rings. When tire inflated up to 9-10 BAR blows ring flies at up to 400 KMH and may easilly come throught car door and kill everyone inside.
This is new trucktor with old trailer... these rim rings are very dangerouse.
