Performance, MPG, sound

Looking at maybe some new exhaust work on my 4.9. whats better? true duals, stock cats with a cat back system, not cats straight pipe, new hy pro cat? im running stocks cats with a glass pack now. Just looking for anything to give her alittle more power, sound, performance, MPG

A good flowing single exhaust is the way to go if you ask me. The I6 is not a high reving motor and makes most of its power in the lower RPMs. It also does not need a large diameter exhaust system. You can run a single in dual out muffler if you want duals. Go with 2.5 exhaust pipe and if its dual out then 2.25. Something like a 50 series Flowmaster sounds good with the I6. Its deep and not very loud. If it starts to get loud it doesn't sound all that good. I have only heard a few I6 trucks with louder exhaust that sounded good.

lol yea i know.. it doesnt seem like you can make the I6 sound very good, atleast during acceleration.

the HY PRO cat is your best bet
