tire question.
i have some after market tires that say LT285/75/R16 on them what other size of tire will fit on my wheels? cuase im broke and need new rubber so pretty limited to the wrecking yard.

almost any tire that will fit a 16 inch rim. thats what the 16 means, the rim size. a 16.5 will NOT work. has to be 16. go to a tire shop like big-o tires and see if they have any decent used tires.

A very common size that would work is a 265/75R16. Just be sure that if you are running a 3/4 or 1 ton, that you get the correct load range. The 265/75R16 is roughly an inch narrower and an inch shorter than the 285/75R16.
