03 electrical

I have an 03 explorer that I just changed the battery in
when my wife was driving to work this morning the battery light came on and soon after that she lost all the gauges
when she got to work turned it off and tried to start again but just clicking now
bad battery ? solenoid ? any ideas ?

Check the cables, make sure they are clean. Corrosion on the terminals, even if it doesn't look bad can cause all sorts of problems.
