Howdy all .. recently found this site after purchasing a 75 Hi boy 4x4. Fantastic resource and helpful folks here. I was told the engine was a 390, but low and behold it's a 360; a common "error" I've come to find out.
I am in So Cal part time, and the rest I spend at my ranch in N Cal I still have a 78 F250 4x4 sitting at the ranch unmoved for the past 10 years after buying and driving it for about 6 months before it gave me Trani problems and I just parked it and walked away. I'm thinking about swapping the axles and using it as a donor truck for some goodies. In general, I prefer the 75 F250; makes me think I'm still young. lol
Nice to meet ya and thanks for the welcome.

Thanks fellas. I'm on an old dairy ranch in the southern part of Sonoma County, about 40 minutes from the Golden Gate Bridge.
Yeah, that 78 was my first experience with Fords. I thought that stock 400 was too weak as well. Thought about building that truck back up, but then I found this Hi Boy, and much prefer the 4sp. She's a nice truck, I'll figure a way to get a photo in here at somepoint.
safe travels... H
