Transmission/TC fluid ?

Does the transfer case (NP203) and tranny (C6) share the same fluid on a 78' Bronco? I am hearing a whining noise and I think I may be low on fluid.

I'm not sure about the 203, but the Bw 1356 on my 89 has serpate fill and drain plugs. They both have atf in them but do not share.

I think he's asking if they both use Mercon/Dextron Type F transmission fluid.

No, my experince in the past is only with GM trucks and the transmission and transfercase share the fluid meaning when you fill one you are actually filling both. Is this teh case with the C6,NP203 combo or are they both their own individual.
