A) I'm a girl, and have no bloody idea anything about trucks, and
B) I'm looking to save as much money as possible.
So here's the situation: My 1997 F150 V8 4x4 died (no warning lights or anything, the engine just seized), so I need a new engine. So, are there other engines that are compatible with my truck? I'm assuming the junk yard might be the best place to look, but I also want to keep the truck going for at least a year before I can trade it off. Thoughts?? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Also, I have a 2000 Mustang GT (with the V8), and when I got the truck, the description I was given was "it has the same engine as your car." So if I find a decent Mustang engine, would it work in my truck, or would that mess it up?
since your not plannin on puttin this engine yourself i would go around the local junkyards and see what you can find in your size engine. then get the person that your gonna have put it in go with you and make sure its the right size and its gonna work for your truck.
