ram air intake idea?

i was considering getting the premium bumper with the square holes in the front, if i were to put a collector into a tube through a filter and into the intake how much of a difference would it make over my stock setup, i know new intakes are kinda worthless on an I6 but it was just an idea

Not enough to make it worthwhile.

I loved that bumper, until I got tapped, the chrome cracked and the thing rusted out between the holes...all in the course of one winter.

I don't think you'd see a single benefit. Honestly the factory airboxes work pretty well on these trucks, and by bringing the intake hoses down that far, you might actually make things worse. That's a lot of hose for a motor that doesn't need a whole lot of air.

I used those holes for driving lights.. That was the safest place for them..

As for air intake, I don't think you will generate enough speed to make any difference......

The HD / Eddie Bauer bumper is my favorite one. My truck originally came with the regular XLT bumper with the impact strip on it. I swapped it out.

I don't think the ram air setup will benefit anything. The I6 intake tube already gets fresh air from behind the grille hear the headlight.

I used those holes for fog lights too.

I have a BIG aftermarket trans cooler, with the HD bumper with the inlets, I would like to think I am getting a little extra air flow over that trans cooler........Besides, it just looks cooler than the std. bumper!

i kinda figured it wouldnt do much, i am just always thinking about ways to squeeze more power haha i guess nothin short of a centrifugal supercharger of a turbo will push the output of the motor up haha
