Heater controls interchangeability
I'm looking at getting a used control for my '80 (no AC, no fuel tank switch). Chilton's shows that the '83-'86 are different from the '80-'82 but will fit the opening. My question is will the existing cables from the '80 hook up with the '83-'86 mechanisms?

Thanks for the advice. I found one with the fuel switch and picked up a working lighter as a bonus from a guy in the boonies who has about 20 of the '80s trucks .. a new parts supplier!
