Door Hinges
I have a 95 f150 and the drivers side door hinges seem to be wore out. you have to lift the door up in order for it to latch. has anyone experienced this problem? do they often do this, im assuming that if i just replace the hinges this will correct the problem?

Some people will tell you to get a hinge pin kit. I just went to the junkyard, found a door that didn't have any play, and yanked the hinges off. Put them on, adjusted them, and haven't had a problem since. before I did that, I put the pins in but they didn't hold up. I'd just buy new hinges. You may be able to adjust the hinges you have to compensate for theplay, but you're better off trying to find some decent ones from a junkyard.

as wynn96 says they do sell a pin repair kit -it's new pins and plastic bushings-they will get ya by for a while-a lot easier than replacing the hinge in my book-takes a few minutes 15 tops if all goes right
