Hesitation

Just recently, I'm starting to step on the gas and no response. I have an '04 EX 6.0 diesel w/95k. Is this possibly a fuel injectors need cleaning? Sometimes it happens when slowing down to a stop light/sign and then trying to accelerate after. I have to shutdown and restart to get going again. Any ideas?

just wild guessing here...
sounds more electrical to me - maybe wire chafing ?

Call your dealer and seeif there are any recalls that apply...

OR register @ http://www.ford.com/owner-services/c...ll-information with your vin number and it will tell you

Is the hesitation kinda like.... step, takes a second and then goes....? Cause my 6.0L does this too. I don't think its electrical, I think its something to do with it being a 6.0L.

Mine expesicially does this when I pull out from a stop sign onto the highway and I TRY to get on it... Kinda takes a couple seconds, then gets going.

Welcome to the site John.It could be a few things causing this, two of them being the EGR valve or the TPS would cause symptoms like that.
