CB mast

Anybody seen many of the CB setups in our trucks? I'm trying to complete a setup but I'm missing the CB mast / antenna (the part that screws into the base). I know you guys do more junk yard hunting than I do (since we have no salvage yards in iowa with 30+ yo trucks left). If ya'll could keep your eyes peeled for this part, send me a reply and lets work something out. Thanks! (sorry if this will violate posting rules, it's also posted in the classifieds)

Clarify this for me; You're looking for a CB antenna? The rod, mounting base, and cord that plugs into the CB box itself? I was at Advance Auto a few days ago and there were 2 of these complete units on the clearance rack. Let me know if that's what you're after. Didn't see the price but I'll bet it ain't much.

No, there was an optional CB setup. He is looking for the factory correct antenna, not an aftermarket antenna.

yankeerebel, sorry about that I should have clarified a FORD CB setup, not aftermarket. yea I could go to Radio Shack or Walmart and buy a cheap ol cb antenna, but we're looking for the REAL thing here. lol.
Ranger429 - thanks for the clarification and posting that pic of what I need.......Are you sure you don't have a use for that one! lol

another piece to the puzzle???

my 79 f350 supercab has the factory cb option, when i bought it there was no mic that came w/the trk, luckily i found the mic on ebay for $10 (score!!!) after reading this thread it appears I'm still missing a piece to the puzzle as my antenna looks to be just the standard one but it seems to work as I've had it on & listened to all the trucker talk, but I've not tried talking out w/it.

i thought id never find the mic but now I'm wondering if i need the correct antenna too???......appreciate any help on this.

You do need the correct antenna. You might be able to hear OK but if you try to transmit it will probably short out the hand held unit.

Sorry Eric all of my antennas are going on to one of my trucks.
