'88 Ranger GT?

I aquired an '88 Ranger GT has the 2.9, 5-speed, two wheel drive with these fancy moldings on the bottom of the truck, the molding wraps around the bumpers too. it was a nice looking truck back in the day. I was told it had a hotter cam and larger injectors from the factory.

Since I have never seen any other GT models I was wondering how many there were and if there was any truth to the engine mods I was told about.

No truth about the engine mods..............stock 140hp 2.9, its all an appearance pkg.

BUT.................its becoming very rare truck, hang on to it and dont try to further mod it. It will be worth more as OEM stock Ford.

Well the engine is already out of it, stuffed into my '89, and our great MN salt winters have pretty much destroyed the metal. but the plastic GT molding is still good.

if anyone wants anything off it PM Me. sold a few parts on fleebay today but they were minor stuff.

While I see where you are coming from I dont really think a Ranger pickup with some side skirts and front bumper cover is ever going to be a collectors item and bring in much more than any other mid 80's Ranger out there....and thats being optimistically positive. If it were mine I wouldnt worry about keeping it stock, just do whatever you wish and make it into a truck that you like and are proud of.
