Starting Issues

Alright, so i have a 1991 F250 7.3 IDI with 104,000 on it. Automatic with the E4OD. My problem is, when i go out to start it in the mornings whether it be cold or warm out i let the gp's cycle and crank it. Once in a while it will start and then die if i don't give it a little rev. After it dies it wont start no matter what, unless i shoot some either in her, then she'll pop right off. ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEA'S!!?? I hate to rev it every time after start up when the oil preassure isn't there and i'd like to get this taken care of! Thanks in advance!

when you go out in the morning, check the fuel filter before you start it to see if it is full.

i bet you have leaking fuel return cap o-rings letting air into the system, and back bleeding the fuel filter dry overnight.

I will try the pedal thing and see if it works, if not i'll check the fuel filter and see how that is. Thanks for all the advice!

Watch using Starter fluid. That'll kill the glo pugs unless you turn them off. Personally I use highly flamable brake cleaner, not as explosive like either.

Funny you say use break cleaner, i have a can under my hood next to my either..i didn't know if i could use that safely. Thats a good piece of information to have seeing as how i have an endless supply of break cleaner. I work at valvoline so i use the pyroil break cleaner.
