How to locate the 5 digit code on the SJB on a 06 Explorer EB edition.
1st get a flashlight and a mechanics mirror. Then locate the SBJ above the parking/emergancy brake. on the bottom of the SJB there is a cover. If you can remove the cover then do it. It is STAMPED on the otherside. OR put the seat back and flip upside down on the floor and look with your mirror and flashlight, it is the only 5 digit number STAMPED on it.
I hope this helps someone down the road!
Thanks

do you have to pull out all the fuses, and seperate the halfs of the fuse panel. or is it directly stamped on the back of sjb facing the firewall? or stamped on the left side facing the emergency bake pedal?

Wow it has been so long now I forgot. I did A LOT of unnecessary things but I don't remember pulling fuses (I may have but I just don't remember right now).
I am sorry I can't help you any further.
how to get the 5 digit keyless entry code i would guess this is the case for 2006-10 explores mountianeers
2007, mecury mountaineer, ford explorer, door keyless entry code is located on the fuse panel under driver side dashboard, it is called SJB smart junction box, it is a 5 digit code printed about 1 inch from the bottom of the fuse block, you can not see the number off hand because it faces the metal frame of the car. stick your cell phone between the car and the fuse panel and start taking pictures! here is a picture.
it is located on the smart junction box (sjb)
I used my camera like this to get the code printed on the sticker. (Note this is just an example; this explorer did not have a keypad option so there is no 5 digit code on this sticker but it would be there if it did)
here is another picture on an 07, I think after 07 they went to the sticker method.
this picture was taken again near the e-brake pedal. I blured out the rest of the code.

as you can see there is the code in less than 5 minutes, and no tools required.
