Hi everyone, well I don't know how to explain it well, but there is a sound in the back of the rear seat. I uninstall the rear seat and there is nothing. It sounds like something is loose and when I break it get out of his place, and when I accelerate it fits in his site again. I disassemble the covers of the rear posts too, and there is nothing loose. Does anybody had a diagram of the cab or know what you might be?
Hi everyone, thanks for response. Well yes i have the electric rear window. I already disassemble all the back seat and rear posts. It seems like everything is ok. But I'm pretty sure that the noise comes from inside the left post. And another bad thing I noticed is that water leaks in from the rear window =(. Is there another thing might be? I already check tailgate and spare tire too. It's ok as well
There are two vents behind the rear seat that let air out when you slam the doors, mine seem to make a random thunk like a wire or cable that moves and hits plastic. I found the seat belts also can rattle front and back. Check the center ones too. I found a rattle in the rear middle cup holder that flips down near the floor(if you have one)by the power point. Check your third brake light for that water leak, seals can be bad around it. Good luck.
Thanks for response canstacker. Well the sound still a mystery, it sounds like something go out of his place and when I push the gas it backs to its site. I think it is in the left rear door post. But now my truck doesn't have rear seat and the sound remains. About the water leak in. I figure that leaks in the upper corner of the rear window. What do you recommend to do?

The leaking sounds like it's coming from the third brake light. It is a common problem with the gasket around the light. Try taking it out and see how the gasket looks and possibly replace it and see if that helps!
Something happened yesterday that made me think of this post...
Check the gap between your cab and the bed for Anything... I had plastic pieces of a Mercedes dashboard wedged in that spot (it was a kneepanel &fuse box cover fwiw).
It was rubbing between the two areas for the last few days causing a "metallic"/clunking and "rubbing" noise at different times.
I already figure out where comes this leak. The problem is in the top corner of the rear window, on both sides of the window. I think I need to take to a windshields shop. =( I already check the third break light and it doen't had any problem fortunately. Thanks pb34.
About the sound, I'll check it out FTE Trigger. It sounds exactly like you mention, like some piece of metal beating.
Hi... well I already check out about the leak, and it seems like the problem was solved. I go to a windshield dealership and they seal the window. About the sound I check between the bed and cab, and there's nothing. I'm still looking for this thing that produces that sound.
alot of the 04 trucks, and some of the 05 trucks have a material problem with the driveshaft.
take it apart, and put HEAVY Axle grease on all of the splines. Then put back into the truck.
it seems to solve alot of the thunking noises. just have to re-apply it occasionally.
reason I say it's the driveshaft is how you describe the problem. You hear it when you hit the brakes (drivetrain slack) and then again when you give it gas (drivetrain taking up slack).
thanks for response tylus. It sounds like this can be the problem. But it seems a little difficult to do, or not? Well I see that you have some manuals. Do you have any for this issue? I'll thank you a lot if you can help me with jeje. Thanks again
Hi everyone, thanks for your answers, well tylus. I try it this weekend I put a heavy axle grease and well it does result, one of the sounds are eliminated, in fact it wasn't noisy but now it's more quiet but the sound in the rear of the cab remains. I start to think that this sound comes from the inside panels, I mean between the metal plates that form the cab. And well I think this places are unreachable or not?
Just a thought, look under your truck for rocks stuck in any number of places like the exhaust skid plates. I had one that rattled around my front skid plate for a long time before I found it one day while changing my oil. If you look you'll see that there are alot of nooks and crannys under there for things to get trapped in. I found one noise that was a stick wedged up next to the driveline. Good luck.
