Axle swap

Yea yall, Hows everybody doing?? I aint been around for a while just been too busy. Anyways, I found a truck with 3.55 axles to swap my 4.10's out. Its a 94 IDI turbo diesel. Mine is the 96 in my sig. Is their any speed sensor issue I have to deal with in this swap?? What about calibrating the odometer? Do I have to mess with it at all?Just hoping someone has done this and has some insite. I've swaped axles in a mid 80's ford so I know the bigger part of the work. Thanks for any help...

Both the 94 and 96 use the same VSS on the rear axle. You'll simply unplug the wiring harness from the 96 and plug it into the 94 after you're done trading axles.

There's no need to recalibrate the speedometer. The speed sensor reads axle revolutions and not driveshaft revolutions so the gear change won't effect the calibration.

Same kinda swap I did a while back... swapped my '95 Dually rear with 4.10's for a '96 SRW rear with 3.55's

Wish I would have kept the 4.10's now though...
