c6 trans problem
i have a 95 f250 with a c6 trans. when it shifts from 2nd to third there is a terrible shudder to it. i check the fluid and the level is good and does not smell burnt and looks good on a white cloth. i would do it once in awhile but now more often. i did not change the filter, but if that was it wouldn't all the gears have a problem?

You may try the trans forum to see what their opinion is on the trans. The C-6 is fairly simplistic with only 3 or 4 items that can be adjusted on the outside of the trans: the shift linkage, the kickdown linkage, 2nd gear band adjustment, and possibly the modulator. You can try adjusting the 2nd gear band, and checking the vacuum line on the modulator though I dont think either one would cause the shudder you discribed. When was the last fluid change on your trans?
