I'm very frustrated these days with my truck. Does anyone here in NE Indiana have AE and want to scan my truck?
If you go to your local Advance Auto they will scan your truck for free and give you the codes. I am in the dark about AE so I hope this is what you mean. Only focus on "current" codes. Don't just start throwing parts at it just because a certain code comes up once. I would take note of the codes and have them cleared, then go back in a week or two and check to see what comes back, then start throwing parts at it. Codes can be intermittant so only focus on the reoccuring codes. Since you did not go into detail on the problem I can not give you any advice to help your frustrations. What problems are you having?
Well since i have a PSD, Advance Auto can only do generic codes that i may have. I've been having problems with a miss. Good news is as of about 1pm today I think i've got it taken care of.
I am no good with PSD. My 96 is a 460V8. Someone on the PSD forum may be able to help. Good Luck.
Thanks for the compliment on the Ex. I bought it last summer to take the family out west. My crewcab just will not haul 6 people comfortably for a 5000 mile trip with a 24' TT. Also the Ex got better mileage than the F250. (12 mpg for the V10 compared to 10 for the 460). My wife just loves it and would drive it everyday if I let her.
