High oil temp?

but also wanted oil temp and pressure so I installed analog Sunpro temp and pressure. They are electric and I mounted the senders by the oil filter using an adaptor from GlowShift
http://www.glowshiftdirect.com/
The problem is, as the engine warms up, the oil temp runs right up to about 260. I pulled the gauge and sender and bench tested it to make sure it was not defective. It does read about 15 degrees too high but, correcting for that, I still have 260 indicated. The coolant and cylinder head temps stay at 190.
I'm used to oil temps of about 180 so 260 seems too high to me. I also don't see how it can run that high when the factory oil cooling lines are taken from the same location and cooled by the coolant (which is running 190).
Any thoughts?
