Not sure how to go about unhooking the fuel lines from my inline filter mounted on left side frame rail. Its on my 1993, F250 with 351, 5spd ext cab - 4x4. There are no retainer clips, like pictured in the manual. They just seem like they are pressure fitted on, but when i pull hard on them they wont come off, didn't want pull too hard and break them. Any tricks on disconnecting the lines, I even removed the gas tank filler caps to relieve pressure like manual said???
if and when i replace the fuel filter do i need to reset the inertia switch??
MAKE SURE you take the pressure out of both the front and the rear of the filter. I popped my inertia switch like it said to stop fuel flow and kill it. Tried to start it, nothing. Good. When I unhooked that front line I took a freakin shower. It just kept coming and coming and I had to hold the line away from me so it would stop. It sucked. But yeah. If its not obvious whats holding your lines on you probably have the ones with the internal springs. That kit TexasGuy linked you to should fix that problem. You can get them at AZ or wherever you feel like going. Theyre pretty common.
