Custom Tune
Anybody no where to get a custom tune for an 04 f- 150 in the DFW area?? My boss just had one done from a guy from Washington On a gm and he did around 30 rigs this weekend but only does gm chevy,
but really would like to have it done to my pick up, so help me out.

Mike from 5 star tunning does custom tunes for are trucks. They are the SCT brand. I have them on my 04. I got 87 econ, 91 tow, 91 performance all custom. I love them and really woke the truck up. He is from South Carolina. Goto www.5startuning.com He has awsome customer support. You call him he answers you email him he gets right back to you. Never seen anything like it before. Give him a call or email and he can set you up with what you need. Also did you boss do all 30 trucks off one tuner. Cause all the tuners I know are locked to one truck once the tune is used. But you can remove it and then use it on another truck.

Not sure the answer to that question? the guy that did plugs in his laptop to the computer and does it all from there, anything from different shift points to turning the 4 cylnder mode off? All kinds of stuff that is almost over my head, trying to learn more about it cause he has the 6.0 liter and that truck is FAST. the tune reallly opened that truck up!! All Retunes are free as well witch isn't a bad deal, Need one!

Well with a gas truck you wont get the performance of a diesel. You might get 25 hp extra with custom tunes and a Cold Air Intake. Not like a diesel where you can get a 125 hp setting. As far as the laptop you got to download the tune through a programmer that comes with the tunes. From there you can hook the programmer to the truck and the laptop to the programmer. Im not sure if you can change settings or not but you can view different settings. You can change settings off the programmer itself but not sure about the computer.
