Axel Ratio?

Axel Ratio?
How does one determine what axel ratio the rear differential is (assuming it is as it came from the factory)?

There is an Axel code on the driver side door jamb, do a search under axel codes and you will see what ratio you have.

What he said, or easiest way is to just crawl under and look at the tag on the cover, it will say the ratio. If it has an "L" after it it means its locking.

Mine was a "D1" (on the door-jamb) which is a 3.73 LS.

Yeah im not sure about the earlier trucks, but I know ones like mine only were available with 3.73

Most PSD trucks will be 3.73 the gassers came with 4.10. DRW trucks can get the 4.30 with the Tow Boss packages.
