My 1977 f-150's signal light switch is toast. The lever has no resistant and my lights don't work at all. Can I just replace the switch or do I have a bigger issue. I have a 1979 with tilt, how hard would it be to swap over. I need to get this fixed, help please!
If i'm reading you correctly you're referring to your turn signal switch, they're easy to replace and will set you back about 70-90 bucks, just pull your steering wheel and the rest is pretty self explanatory, check the obvious stuff first though e.g. bulbs, grounds, wires, shorts, etc.

Three different turn signal switches were used on 1973/77 F100/350's:
With A/T / With M/T / Or 1975/77 with Cruise Control.
Which one do you have?
The A/T & M/T switches are available from Ford, the Cruise Control only switch is obsolete, but there are a few still available.
Swapping steering columns: The columns used 1973/77 are not the same as 1978/79. Modifications will have to be made for the swap to work.
