84' E150 Van no spark

I was driving to work 2 miles from home (cold engine) and it just died. battery was dead after trying to turn it over twice but i think that is a old battery problem. I believe i have the TFI system due to the E core ignition coil. i was told to check the ignition module but on this system i don't think i have one. i also read about the TFI on the distributor but i was early morning and close to home so i couldn't have gotten too hot. Please help before i start replacing everything before i figure this out.

Are all wiring connections secure and in place? Like at the distributor, coil, etc.?

It was the TFI ignition module. Mounted at the base of the distributor with 2 7/32 bolts, thermal grease is mandatory or warranty is void. $40 @ Kragens and now I am back on the road.

Great, I'm glad you fixed it. Same sort of thing happens with the older Duraspark boxes too.
