I drive (well, when my youngest daughter hasn't taken off with it!) a 2000 Ford Ranger XLT Sport 4x4 and didn't think that would fit as a screen-name.
So, it is what it is.
I don't use that name anywhere else on the 'net, such as any of the several gun forums I am a member of.
I started to use OldSphincterMuscle, or OldFartSharpshooter, but, I figured I'd get banned REAL QUICK!
Plus, neither make for good first impressions.
Well--Slappy is a nickname that I've had for about 20 years but that was rejected when I signed up for the site so I added the "s" and "dump" for the 1st truck in my sig below...I chose the dumptruck because it was giving me a reason to post here in the first place.
I joined under BlackDog and Company, as BlackDog was taken, and that is what I am everywhere, I have a Lab that is my world.
Named my business BlackDog and Company, and it sort of fits family rolls.... we are the company.
Joined tonight (re-joined?) under Clydesdale Bronc, as I have a Centurion 4 door Bronco, that is a 350.. kinda a little more "draft horseish" than a regular two door TTB bronc.. so I went there.
Named him Clyde, as well.
had I remembered I was B.D. & C. I would have figured out a log in, Mods can kill the B.D. and C if ya want... pm me , and I will bump a thread I posted in.
I have an English sports car called a Sunbeam Tiger. When I was rebuilding it many years ago I became friends with the counterman at the local parts store, and he started calling me Tiger Dan (my first name is Dan, which, for some reason, many folks don't seem to get from my username...) When I started doing this Internet stuff and getting involved with forums, it just seemed like good choice for a username. I use it on several other forums I belong to as well. One of my buddies from my Land Rover club insists on calling me that even in person...
This is the name I use on this and several other forums where I couldn't think of anything clever.
On a couple other car forums I'm Red_LX (for my old red Mustang LX), or 87turbobird/87tbird (for my turbo coupe), and on gunsnetwork.com I'm Sturmgeschütz.
Many years ago someone noticed that my last name kinda made a word when spelled backward. The nickname never stuck thankfully but every now and then someone used it.
Then one day I wanted to create a junk email address on Yahoo....
Nitram was taken so I added the jr since I am a junior.
I'm on several forums (and probably some government watch list) with this screenname.
This is the name I use on this and several other forums where I couldn't think of anything clever.
Good thing your first name isn't mike.
My screen name has nothing to do with my avatar. As a matter of fact, I've been Stu a lot longer than he's been Stewie. Not very creative, but since I was 37 when I started posting on the internet and my last name starts with d, I figured stu37d would work.
mine is very complicated. my initials are TJC
and my company name is T.J.C. Transportation Services
so tjc transport is easy to remember me by, and is used on all internet forums except one.
on the ford falcon site, i am falcoon, cause that is what the kids named my 65 falcon many years ago.
Well unlike you fellas my actual last name has changed several times, so I don't use that. The Mr came up with racerchick when we were dating as I am a racing fan and actually know my way around most motor vehicles (he was very happy when he found out I could rebuild a carburetor). 21 is our car number most of the time.
