got some good news and some very bad news

first the good one

it idles good and timing i set.. 10 BTDC at idle
engine revs good
now the bad
everything was ready waterpump cooling ps pump everything made it 10 meters out of the driveway BLAM! the waterpump broke the spacer we made to make it work witht he pully system i guess put too much stress on it..

i tracked down an <<<-1994 front timing cover.. and bought a new original 1989 F150 waterpump

becuase after 1994 the front timing cover switched (in explorers not F series) and uses different waterpumps and it was too short..

this saturday an army of friends is coming over and by saturday afternoon we will back!!!!! wish us luck!! pray to the ford gods!!

here is a small idle vid after the waterpump vid.. i wont let it idle much only 10-20 secs...

Thats cool its running better, but sucks about the water pump. Was the water pump a newer one or an old one? I have never seen one break like that before.

thats a shorter pump (for an Explorer 5.0 ) so we made a spacer to line up to the F series belt system..

if your wondering why i didnt get an F150 pump..becuase the timing cover after 1994 is different so i cant get an F150 pump to fit thats why i made the spacer

its a crate engine for a 1996 Explorer

im gonna try an belt system for an 1990 mustang if that doesnt work im gonna have to switch the timing cover
