Hey everyone. I have an 05 with the 5.4. When I bought it used with 43k miles it had a little 'shimmy' to it when idling. It appeared to me to be more than the average idle. So I had them 'fix' it before I took possession. It seems to me that now I have to tap the gas harder than is necessary and it seems to lurch forward, not like it should. It also seems to shift awkward. I had an 01 and it didn't act this way. I know they're different bodies and such but it seems like it isn't running right. I just want some ideas on what the problem might be, if any. That way when i take it back with my extended warranty, I will have an idea of what to tell them to look for. Thanks a ton. You guys are extremely helpful to non-mechanics as myself.

E-brake sticking?
Has your "shimmy" or idle issue felt like it has come back?
Or is this issue popping up just when the truck is in motion?

 

The 'shimmy' does appears to be coming back to a certain degree. Not as bad as it was before purchasing but definately coming back. I forgot to add that it 'shimmies' worse when its in drive but sitting still. Maybe it's nothing, just doesn't seem right.
