Starter doesnt disengage
Hey all,
I have a 88 ford e350 boxvan with a freshly rebuilt 460. it has a new starter & solinoid.Problem is,starter wont disengage after engine spins over or when I shut the key off after a somewhat long cranking period.it will just keep cranking.forcing me to crank on engine until it turns over at which point the starter won't let go and rides on the flywheel before finally disengaging.could the starter be defective? or is it somthing that I've done wrong installing it?any feedback would be appreciated....
